The purpose of this research study is to better understand how individuals manage their blood pressure and medications and perspectives towards a chatbot, which is often called a virtual assistant or coach.

Adults with high blood pressure who are prescribed at least one blood pressure medication

Study Qualifications

Gender Any

Age Range 18 - 99 years

Participant qualification(s) You may be eligible to participate if you have been told by a doctor or health professional that you have high blood pressure, currently take one or more blood pressure medications, and own a smartphone or tablet.

Not eligible if: Participants will be excluded who are unable to take their own medications, unable to provide informed consent, or are unable to attend an in-person interview at UNC.
